How does it work?

You choose the city, the vendor and the amount of your donation, or you can put your trust in us and let us distribute your donation where it is most needed.

A person in need will benefit from your act of kindness at the chosen vendor. Every beneficiary is free to claim a Suspend'us donation from our network of vendors.

Is my donation secure?

Your donation is secured through bank data encryption by our partner Raisenow.

What payment methods are accepted on the platform?

You can pay by TWINT, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

How can I support Suspend'us?

You can make a donation by bank transfer to Suspend'us. Our bank details are provided on the homepage. Our IBAN is CH24 0076 7000R 5489 7642

How can I set up a recurring donation every month?

Click on DONATE, follow the steps and choose "Set up a recurring donation".

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes, you can request a donation receipt, which you can use to deduct your donation on your tax return. It will be sent to you on December 31st, listing all your donations.

What fees are applied to my donation?

The association Suspend'us does not make any profit from your donations. RaiseNow, our partner in charge of processing your donation forms, applies a 4.4% charge to each donation. In addition, fees are applied depending on the payment method selected.

For payments made with TWINT, a 1.3% fee is deducted from each donation.
For payments made with a Swiss bank card, a fee of 2.9% + 0.30 CHF is deducted from each donation.

To cover part of our technical and administrative costs, the association retains 5%.

How can I benefit from a Suspend'us donation?

Individuals eligible for social assistance can receive Suspend'us donations. When you visit a partner vendor, you must present a numbered card (see next FAQ) to access the donation.

How can I apply to receive a card?

1. If you receive social assistance benefits, you can get one of the two following cards, depending on your place of residence

a Suspend'us card in the canton of Geneva, in all CAS (Social Action Center) of the Hospice général (General Hospice).
Caritas' KulturLegi in the canton where you live

2. If you are without recognised documentation and/or homeless, you can receive a Suspend'us card from the following partners:

EPER, Geneva
Le Lieu-Dit, Nyon
SOS Futures Mamans, Nyon

Caritas and Suspend'us cards are valid at all vendors within the Suspend'us community, across all cantons.

How often can I benefit from a Suspend'us donation and for what amount?

1. Bookstore - CHF 15 - every 30 days
2. Coworking - depending on the vendor - depending on the vendor
3. Dental hygiene - CHF 120 - every 365 days
4. Florist - CHF 20 - every 180 days
5. Food - CHF 15 - every 7 days
6. Gifts, games - CHF 20 - every 30 days
7. Grocery - CHF 15 - every 7 days
8. Hairdresser - CHF 75 (♀) / CHF 40 (♂) - every 60 days
9. Hobby and culture - CHF 100 - every 365 days
10. Optical - CHF 100 - every 365 days
11. Pharmacy - CHF 15 - every 30 days
12. Public transport - CHF 20 - every 7 days
13. Repair - CHF 100 - every 365 days
14. Reuse - CHF 100 - every 365 days
15. Sport - CHF 100 - every 365 days
16. Wellness - CHF 45 - every 180 days

Do you need specific information?

My rights and duties

My rights: If I have a valid Suspend'us card or Caritas KulturLegi, I am entitled to consume goods or services in each category of vendors:

I am allowed to claim the amount set by Suspend'us, as long as the vendor has received Suspend'us donations. Example: A maximum of 15 CHF in convenience stores, every 7 days.
I am allowed to dine in, unless it is strictly a take away vendor.
I can visit multiple categories of vendors within the same week.

My duties: My Suspend'us card or Caritas KulturLegi must be valid, as well as issued and signed by a partner social organisation: CAS/HG, Caritas, EPER, Lieu-Dit, CSP.

If the cost of the good or service exceeds the limit set by Suspend'us, I must pay the difference.
In the event my card is blocked, it indicates that I have already requested the maximum amount during the current Suspend'us period. I am required to wait until the end of the period before requesting a new Suspend'us donation in this category.
Like any other customer, I must be polite and respectful to the vendor's staff. Suspend'us reserves the right to block cards in the event of any issues or instances of abuse.
The following vendors types require appointments to be made in advance: dental hygiene, hair salons, sports, and wellness.

How can I join your network of vendors?

You can fill out the form on our "Vendors Section" page. To begin, we will reach out to introduce ourselves and get acquainted. Once an agreement is reached, you will be invited to sign our partnership convention.

Will I incur any fees if I become a partner vendor?

Our partner vendors incur no fees. You will be fully reimbursed for the goods and services you provide to our beneficiaries on a monthly basis.

What kind of administrative responsibilities will I have as a partner vendor?

The only task will be to enter the beneficiary's card number and the amount of the donation requested into your vendor account. (Link to tutorial) We will provide more information on the sale of goods to a beneficiary). Your monthly invoices and reimbursements are fully automated, eliminating the need for any action on your part.

There was a long line at the cash register, and I did not have time to enter a purchase into my vendor account. What should I do?

It can happen! However, you must enter every purchase in the system immediately, otherwise your Suspend'us offers will no longer be up to date for beneficiaries on the platform. This process ensures that donation limits are respected, so that as many beneficiaries as possible can benefit from Suspend'us donations.
